Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday summoned the Delhi police commissioner after the sixth attack against a Christian building in the capital over the past two months, fueling fears that religious minorities are targeted. The suspects broke into a Christian school in south Delhi on Friday stole money, damaged circuit television cameras and closed parts of the building were ransacked. Police said they suspect the case is one burglary rather than intimidation.

"The prime minister expressed his concern and said that this case should be resolved immediately," said Police Commissioner of Delhi, BS Bassi. "He said that security must be foolproof so that the attacks do not recur."

Political rivals have accused the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party in power to exploit religious divisions since taking power last May. Hundreds of Christians clashed with police last week, demanding better protection from the government.

Religious intolerance in India would have shocked fighter for freedom icon Mahatma Gandhi, US President Barack Obama said last week. The success of India depends on not break along religious lines, Obama said during a visit last month.

Even after a series of attacks, Modi, a Hindu nationalist self-proclaimed, still has to publicly comment on the violence. In a statement released Friday, Modi said he summoned Delhi Police Commissioner to express their concerns about the "rise of crime in the capital." Discussed attacks against churches.

Fire criminals, vandalism and burglaries were reported in at least six Christian buildings since December. The most serious incident was a fire that destroyed a church in the north of Delhi, which church leaders had been voluntarily because of a strong smell of kerosene.

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: as much as 266 kg of gold is missing Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram famous, says former chief Vinod Rai government auditor in the audit submitted to the apex court report.

The highlight of the report was obtained by the media revealed that of the 893 kg of gold was given for various works, only 627 kg was returned to the temple."Mr. Rai was asked by the Supreme Court last year to conduct an audit of the books of accounts of the temple."

A division bench of Justice RM Lodha of the AK Patnaik and Justice in its interim order last April had asked former Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Vinod Rai to undertake the audit of the temple of the accounts and the properties for the last quarter century.

The directive came on the recommendations of Gopal Subramaniam amicus curiae, who had sought the overhaul of the operation of the temple.

Apart from asking Mr. Rai to audit the accounts of the temple, the apex court also ordered the formation of a new committee of five members including a judge of the capital, the Tantri temple, Nambi chief temple of Sri Padmanabhaswamy and two other members, one of whom will be appointed in consultation with the State Government and would be the choice of the judge.

It was in July 2011 that an apex court committee stumbled upon six vaults in the temple and with just vault B left to be opened, the treasure that was found in the other five vaults were estimated at a value of more than Rs. 100,000 crore.

Since then, armed security guards outside the state of the art security equipment has been deployed for the safe maintenance of this treasure.

Reacting to the new developments, the Communist Party of India-Marxist legislator V Sivankutty said that a few years ago all hell broke loose when VS Achuthanandan said that things do not go the way he should go into the temple until the priceless treasures maintenance are concerned and blamed the royal family of Travancore.

"Look, what Mr. Rai was released in its report. There are points of view in some quarters that the questions of the temple should be stifled. Now, with this report, responsibilities should be set and those who caused this should be brought to light, "he said. The former Travancore royal family with its headquarters in the capital is however not yet responded to the report of Mr. Rai

The Supreme Court had directed the Centre to ensure that the ongoing probe into suspected storing black money in bank accounts abroad is completed by March. Kejriwal`s new composers to Chidambaram on the issue of black money

New Delhi: Activist Arvind Kejriwal Saturday asked the government whether the names of industrialists he named as having accounts at the HSBC Bank in Geneva were part of the list of 700 people handed in by France.

Ask questions of the finance minister P. Chidambaram has said the country wants to know why the government was "applied" different standards while investigating the issue that only some people are raided while for others are doing.

Kejriwal had yesterday made new allegations that HSBC Bank was engaged in money laundering and according Ambani brothers, Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal and Congress MP Anu Tandon had parked black money in its Geneva branch.

All who were appointed by Kejriwal had denied the allegations. He also alleged that the government was saving HSBC and how people could believe that the government will make a fair probe.

HSBC admits Gaps by the Directorate General of Geneva, speaks of "failures of compliance '

LONDON: British bank HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA.L) admitted on Sunday defects by its Swiss subsidiary, in response to media reports, it helped wealthy clients evade taxes and hide millions of dollars of assets.

"We recognize and are responsible for compliance and control failures past," said HSBC Sunday after newspapers, including French newspaper Le Monde and The Guardian UK published allegations about his private Swiss bank.

The Guardian, with other media outlets cited documents obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) by Le Monde.HSBC said that its Swiss subsidiary had not been fully integrated into HSBC after its acquisition in 1999, allowing standards "significantly lower" compliance and due diligence to persist.

The Guardian claimed in its report that the files showed HSBC Swiss bank regularly allowed customers to remove "bricks" of money, often in foreign currencies that were of little use in Switzerland, commercialized systems that were likely to allow rich clients to avoid taxes and European connivance with some hiding undeclared accounts with the national tax authorities.

HSBC said that the sector of the Swiss private bank, long known for its secrecy, operated differently in the past and this may have led HSBC have had "a number of customers who were not fully compliant with their tax obligations apply. "Its private bank, especially its Swiss subsidiary, had undergone a "radical transformation" in recent years, he said in a detailed four-page statement.

Swiss private bank HSBC was largely gained through its acquisition of Republic National Bank of New York and Safra Republic Holdings, a US private bank.

HSBC said the number of accounts of its Swiss private bank had fallen from 30,412 in 2007 to 10,343 at the end of last year and has been cooperating with authorities investigating tax matters.

The data were provided by Herve Falciani, a former employee of the IT Swiss private bank HSBC. HSBC Falciani downloaded details of accounts and customers in late 2006 and early 2007. The French authorities have obtained data on thousands of customers and share with the tax authorities elsewhere, including Argentina.

Switzerland instructed Falciani, which Reuters could not reach for comment, industrial espionage and violating the secrecy laws of the country. Falciani has told Reuters that he is a whistleblower trying to help governments track down people who used Swiss bank accounts to evade taxes.

Some of the details of the list were released before. The names of 2,000 Greeks with HSBC accounts was released in 2010 and dubbed the "Lagarde List" after former French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde. France adopted the names to Greece to help curb tax evasion.

who will win delhi election:

Arvind Kejriwal may just have pulled it off, all exit polls

NEW DELHI:

Arvind Kejriwal, self-proclaimed anarchist, could lead back to Delhi, according to exit polls.

A total of seven polls showed Aam Aadmi Party Mr. Kejriwal (PAA) accumulate 42 seats, which would enable it to form the government comfortably (surveys: Nielsen, C-voters, Cicero, New nations, Axis APM Chanakya of today to MINERIA data).

Surveys have proven in the past profoundly wrong. The results will be reported Tuesday.

"This is based on data up to 15 hours. We will not accept it as final," warned Kiran Bedi, who is running as deemed BJP Chief Minister against Mr. Kejriwal.

If AAP wins, it will mark the first major setback for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the eight months since winning the national election with a massive mandate.67 percent of the capital voted today, a high turnout for the election of the National last year, or the election of the Assembly a year ago, which saw Mr Kejriwal taken functions for a period of 49 days with a minority government.

If exit polls prove to be correct, the victory is particularly sweet for Mr. Kejriwal, which was crushed by the PM at a time when they contested the constituency of Varanasi in the general election in May.
In his extensive campaign, the Prime Minister described Mr Kejriwal as a "back-stabber" who fled the office when things get difficult.

Mr Kejriwal has everything to lose with this election. His disastrous decision to quit as chief minister in February was aggravated by the AAP collect a meager four seats in parliament, stressing that only bastion of the party's Delhi.

The campaign of Mr. Kejriwal promised lower utility bills and free WiFi 1.7 crore people of Delhi, as well as commitments to fight against corruption.

President Brack Obama told for Prayer Breakfast words Ruffle China and India:

President Brack Obama religious intolerance remark india pic

BEIJING: On Friday -7th february

Obama seems to like his natural allies more than his friend," the group's joint general secretary, Surendra Jain, said Friday, presumably referring to Modi.

Prayer breakfast speeches in Washington are rarely, if ever, the source of bruised feelings overseas. Not so this year. For both India and China, Obama's remarks Thursday may have come as something of a surprise.

President Barack Obama's comments at this week's religious gathering not only caused domestic problems - offending some conservative American Christians, who objected to the reference to "terrible deeds" during the Crusades - but have also left China and India piqued. The Chinese objected to the warmth shown to the Dalai Lama, while an Indian official reacted to the president's remarks about acts of religious intolerance in the country by noting that India (read: not the United States) had openly supported the Dalai Lama for decades.

Just over a week ago, Obama completed a three-day visit to India aimed at reinvigorating a frayed relationship. And until this week, China and the United States had worked out a reliable pas de deux over the Dalai Lama, 79, the Nobel laureate and Tibetan spiritual leader whom Beijing sometimes describes as a "wolf in sheep's clothing."

It goes like this: Chinese leaders warn the White House against granting the Dalai Lama a public audience, and the U.S. president either ignores the threats of diplomatic fallout or finds a way to meet that will result in the least offense to Beijing.

Since taking office, Obama had met with the Dalai Lama on three occasions, each time within the privacy of the White House rather than during the kind of public event that might prompt outsize indignation on the part of Chinese leaders. Then, Thursday, Obama was handed a diplomatically novel way to express his admiration for the Dalai Lama when the two exchanged greetings at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington and the president described him as a "good friend."

Obama described the exiled Buddhist leader, who lives in India, as a "powerful example of what it means to practice compassion," one "who inspired us to speak up for the freedom and dignity of all human beings."

Both men were invited guests, but the highly public event infuriated Beijing, which accused Obama of cynically orchestrating the encounter and suggested it was meant to complicate China's governing of Tibet, a strategically pivotal region that has bridled at Beijing's rule since Communist troops invaded in 1950.

"We oppose any foreign country allowing the Dalai Lama to visit, and oppose any country using the issue of Tibet to interfere in China's internal affairs," Hong Lei, a Foreign Ministry spokesman, said Friday.

The state-run news agency Xinhua was more colorful. "This action by the U.S. to 'drive a nail' into the hearts of the Chinese people is harmful to the political trust between the two countries," it said Friday. The Indians' reaction was more muted, but the incident may take away a bit of the shine on the relationship after Obama's recent visit, when there were displays of friendship that included two embraces between the countries' leaders.

Obama had managed a difficult feat while there: delivering a carefully calibrated speech that called for religious tolerance without kicking up a fuss with his hosts, despite the sensitivities in India on the subject. The topic is an especially delicate one for India's prime minister, Narendra Modi, who was put on a U.S. visa blacklist in 2005 over his handling of deadly religious riots in the state he then led.

But Thursday, Obama returned to the theme, saying that in recent years India had seen "acts of intolerance that would have shocked Gandhiji."

This time, Indian news channels ran the story as top news, and two senior ministers issued public remarks. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley talked about India's supportive relationship with the Dalai Lama - alluding, it seemed, to the fact that the United States treads gingerly in its support for the Tibetan leader, aware of China's disapproval.

"It's a part of India's tolerance that even he found it comfortable and India found it comfortable to absorb him in the society," he said, adding that India "has a huge cultural history of tolerance. Any aberration doesn't alter the history."

Open resentment was issued from other quarters, including Hindu activists, some of whom accuse Christian missionaries of aggressive conversion campaigns and who had, until now, gone along with Modi's outreach to the United States. Arvind Kejriwal is running against Kiran Bedi for the BJP Chief Minister of Delhi. In the last elections, the BJP was four short of a majority.

AAP then formed a minority government with the support of Congress. But only 49 days in his term, Mr. Kejriwal quit, a decision he has said repeatedly that he deeply regrets. His resignation came after an anti-corruption proposal he had defended was blocked by other parties, including the Congress in the state legislature.

Delhi was then ruled for months by the Centre through the rule of the president. In November last year, the Assembly was dissolved, opening the way for new elections.

The BJP has counted for battle in Delhi on 'Modi wave "- the popularity of the Prime Minister who delivered the ruling party in states like Maharashtra and Haryana.

But the decision of former police officer Kiran Bedi induct and appoint as its minister alleged leader provoked strong disagreement within the Delhi branch of the BJP. Worried by dissent and warm reception during Ms. Bedi some rallies, BJP leader Amit Shah supervised closely the party's strategy to Delhi in the last week.
